Car enthusiasts are getting ready to display their classic vehicles at the upcoming Hot Cars and Kool April Nites coming for a week in late April.
The 5th Annual Spring Fest Car Show starts on April 22nd, when 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in downtown Redding will feature food, a raffle, drinks, and live music from Bartosh.
The Redding Civic auditorium will be the hub of the event. On Monday, April 25 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Foothill High School will present a BBQ and music program. Parsons Junior High will offer a nacho bar and entertainment night on April 26. The week continues with Billy and the Jets scheduled for Wednesday, Black Vinyl 45 for Thursday, and the Hill Street Band for Friday.
Also on Friday, April 29, the annual Cruise will take place beginning on Hilltop Drive. The Cruise After Party will run from 8:00 pm to midnight at the Holiday Inn.
Back at the Redding Civic Center, Saturday, April 30 will see The Big Show with the Asphalt Cowboys Pancake Breakfast and Journey Unauthorized.
On Sunday, May 1, there will be a display of award-winning cars, the pancake breakfast, car corral, awards presentation and the engine drawing.
Winning car owners often have pictures taken with their trophies and cars and send the pictures to local Print shops for duplicates.
