Many serious Redding runners will be signing up for the upcoming NorCal 50th John Frank Memorial coming in early March. Some winners could receive cash awards in the 10-mile run.
The course will be along the Sacramento River. It will include two aid stations and two restroom stops.
Awards will be given to the top five finishers in each of the age divisions for all races. A $1,000 award will go to each of the winners in the Women and Men’s open that set a course record besting a 48:50 for men and 55:23 for women. Also, $250 will go to the winners in the Women’s and Men’s Masters Divisions that set records. These women need to complete the course in less than 57.09 and the men in 52.19.
Winners in races such as these often have photos taken. They take the pictures to nearby Print shops for Copies to send to relatives and friends.
The 10-mile registration fee will be $45; the three-mile run will be $20; and the one-mile will be $15. The one-mile kid run for children from ages 1 to 14 will be free.
Registration on race day will be from 7:00 am until 9:45 am. Runners for the one-mile will leave the finish line at 8:30 am, while the 10-milers and three-milers will start at 8:30 am.
The 50th Annual John Frank Memorial Run will be March 7th at Lake Redding Park, 2150 Benton Drive.
