University choir welcomes spring with performance

The globally renowned musical department at Brigham Young University (BYU) will bring the acclaimed choir to Merced for a spring performance.

‘An Evening of Music with the BYU Singers’ features a choir that has performed across the world to include the Middle East, South Africa, Western and Eastern Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. The group has also performed alongside the Israeli Chamber Orchestra and is regarded as an elite talent in the musical world.

Representing the United States, the BYU choir was selected to perform at the Fourth World Symposium in Sydney. The school music program was implemented by Dr. Ronald Staheli in 1984 and has continuously received recognition internationally for exemplary music across a wide range of genres. Dr. Andrew Crane is the director of the choir and is applauded for distinctive artistry.
