The 128th annual Merced County Fair is taking place in the last days of spring and runs for five days.
This is an old-fashioned agricultural fair, and there will be plenty of livestock, competitions in horticulture and agriculture, and family-friendly activities.
With carnival rides and games for people of all ages, a wristband for unlimited rides is $30. There will also be a food fair, the Children's Farmers' Market, a Discovering Science Exhibit, and a tractor parade.
The Sunshine Lane Family Area will have rides for the younger children as well as activities such as a petting zoo and pony rides. The All Alaskan Racing Pigs will also be making an appearance.
There will be musical entertainment provided in the Table Mountain Concert Series. Some of those slated to perform at this year's fair are Kalimba (which is an Earth, Wind and Fire tribute band), Tracy Bird and Conjunto Primavera.
Some special days will be taking place, including Kids Day on June 11 where all children aged 12 and under will be admitted free with an adult ticket holder.
Printing services companies in Merced often provide the Posters, Flyers, and other advertising materials to organizers of such events.
The fair will be held at the Merced County Fairgrounds from June 10 to 14. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Call 209-722-1506 for more information.
