Bob Zany, a seasoned stand-up comedian who has appeared in numerous movies and TV shows, is headlining a “Hole in One Comedy” event at the Major Golf Sports Center in Merced.
Zany was the subject of a documentary called Close, But No Cigar, tracing his career as a comedian over more than three decades. Known for appearances on shows like The Tonight Show and movies like Joe Dirt and The Informant, Zany has performed in every U.S. state and around the world. He also hosts The Bob Zany Podcast with Erin O’Connor, which has had over 100 episodes.
After 18 years appearing on radio on the Bob and Tom Show with his segment, the Zany Report, the comedian only recently hosted his own comedy special called Dry Bar. In addition, he was a regular talent and co-host for the annual Jerry Lewis Telethon for 17 years.
Some of Zany’s famous co-stars in films and TV include David Space, Matt Damon, and Billy Gardell, the latter of whom was the host of the Showtime stand up series Road Dogs, which featured a set by Zany.
Stand-up comedy events like these may choose to use banner printing to create marquees.
