Downtown Merced will organize a nut festival in October to celebrate nut producers throughout Merced County.
The Merced County Nut Festival is a program where families can learn more about local nut production while enjoying child-friendly activities. There will be multiple demonstrations by Merced Area Farmers that teach attendees how nuts are grown and processed. Kids can participate in crafts activities and get their faces painted. This year, the event will debut its new Wine Pavillion where adults can buy beverages from Vinhos Wine Lounge and listen to jazz music.
Companies that wish to sponsor the nut festival can purchase sponsorships from $1,000 to $5,000. The $1,000 tier package includes a booth space at the Merced County Fairgrounds and an advertisement in the event program. The higher tiers for the fest will have benefits like being promoted on social media and on-stage recognition. Businesses interested in purchasing a page space from the program can pay between $150 and $650.
The Merced County Nut Festival will be on Saturday, October 19th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The fest will occur rain or shine. Guests over 12 are asked to leave a $1 donation as their entry fee into the event. There will be no additional charge for those who attend the live concerts at the fest. Businesses that take part in food-themed fests like this may bring Promotional Products to share with consumers.
