Merced to hold annual crab feed and fundraiser

The Buhach Colony High School (BCHS) Music Boosters will organize a crab feed in February at the Merced County Fair.

The BCHS Music Boosters 17th Annual Crab Feed is a fundraising event where people can support a local music program. The funds earned at the feed will benefit several groups at BCHS, like the marching band, color guard, and jazz band. Part of the earnings will help the school pay for its music students to return to Disneyland for a performance in the Magic Kingdom. The fundraiser will also help BCHS with scholarships and marching band event fees.

Businesses interested in showing their support for the high school’s music program can become a sponsor at the crab feed. There are three sponsorship opportunities offered at the event, including the Copper Amulet tier for $250 and the Golden Thunder tier for $1,250. Companies that become sponsors will receive perks like recognition on the event’s placemats, a verbal shoutout during the crab feed, and getting to display a vinyl banner at the venue.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, February 4 from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Tickets to the feed cost $75. People can also support the event by donating an item to its dessert auction and raffle. High schools that organize fundraisers like this may use flyer printing to inform the community about the event in advance.
