Playhouse Merced will be holding auditions in February for The SpongeBob Musical: Live On Stage.
Those interested in being part of The SpongeBob Musical: Live On Stage can try out for the show at one of Playhouse Merced’s audition sites. The musical will be directed by Dusty Guthier and choreographed by Katy Uyeno. The music director of the show is Dennis Brown. All cast and crew members for the performance are required to have their covid vaccinations and booster shots when applicable. The show will not be a children’s production.
Playhouse Merced is a community theatre with several educational programs people can join. A few of the courses taught at the playhouse include film acting classes and theatre make-up lessons for beginners. The current president of the venue’s board of directors is Emily Langdon, and the vice president is Marit A. Medefind. Community playhouses similar to this can market their productions and courses to others using poster printing services.
Auditions for The SpongeBob Musical: Live On Stage will be held on February 12th at Buhach Colony High School in Atwater from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, and at Playhouse Merced from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Rehearsals for the show will begin in late February, and the musical will debut on May 6. The production will run until May 29. Those who audition must bring proof of their vaccination.
