Local high school holds first Hall of Fame dinner

The Golden Valley High School Foundation is hosting its first Hall of Fame Dinner next month in Merced.

The Hall of Fame will be inducting 10 members in its first year. These are notable alumni and employees of Golden Valley High School. Among those to be inducted this year are Ralf Swenson (who was the first principal of the school), Rob Strickland (retired teacher and aquatics coach), and Sue Bangon Emanivong (owner of the Tsunami Collaboration and part of the class of 1999).

Guests can choose between having a tri-tip or a chicken dinner prepared by Chef Melissa.

Sponsorships are available to ensure continuing Hall of Fame dinners, for which the cost is between $1,000 and $2,500. Sponsors will have advertisements on the scoreboard for all Cougar athletic events for a year. They will also receive school gear and unlimited drinks at the dinner, and a table for eight will be saved for each sponsor.

Merced printing services companies are often asked to provide printed materials for events like this, such as signage, advertising Flyers, and sponsor Banners.

The Hall of Fame dinner will be held in the Pavilion at the Merced County Fairground on February 8 beginning at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $50 per person and tables of eight are available. To learn more about this event, contact the Foundation at 209-325-2000.
