LA Opera employee to give presentation in Merced

Tehvon Fowler-Chapman will hold a lecture at the University of California, Merced in November.

Those who want to learn music and arts management can attend a presentation offered by Tehvon Fowler-Chapman. He is the LA Opera Company’s newest Vice President of the organization’s educational and community outreach initiative. Fowler-Chapman will discuss his involvement with the LA Opera. He was also an executive director at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy and a manager of external affairs at Vocal Arts DC.

The presentation is part of the Coats Speaker Series. The events are organized by Kim McMillon, a community liaison for the University of California, Merced. Other participants in the series include Maria Bonner, Kathy Wong-Bonhams, and Eugenia Rentería. McMillon is also the organizer for a Quinteto Latino concert, which is an event at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center that is presented by UC Merced UpstART. The band Quinteto Latino was founded in 2004.

The presentation by Fowler-Chapman will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. The community program is free for the public to check out, though viewers can register for the discussion in advance. The event will take place at Room 105 inside the UC Merced’s Conference Center. Colleges that host similar presentations may use printing services to make Posters that help promote their future lectures to students.
