The third weekend in September holds a favorite annual event in Lafayette in the shape of the Art & Wine Festival. It is one of the largest events in the Lamorinda area and is among the biggest festivals held outdoors in the entire Contra Costa County.
Admission is free but patrons must purchase drink tickets and a Festival glass if they wish to drink any of the wine or beer. The wine will be served to patrons on the street and also in the Premium Wine Pavilion.
The entertainment will be different on each day of the festival. A few of the featured bands include The Spazmatics, The Sun Kings, Bell Brothers, East Bay Mudd, and Voltones, along with many others.
There will be over 275 crafts and fine arts booths to visit, along with food vendors, microbreweries, and wineries. In addition, a kids’ area will be featured with activities for kids of all ages. Exhibits of local artists will be on display and for sale to the public. Dogs are allowed at the festival if they are kept on leashes but are not permitted in the food court.
The two-day event will be held on September 15 and 16. The hours on the Saturday will be 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on the Sunday. Print companies have probably completed the flyer printing for promoting the event. A volunteer sign-up form is available online, as well as an application to be a vendor of arts and crafts during the wine festival.Get a Free Quote for Print
