Art and wine is just a drop of what is about to be uncorked at Lafayette’s annual Art and Wine Festival.
It is the largest festival in Costa Contra County, according to the festival’s website. Last year’s festival attracted more 85,000 visitors. Admission is free, with live music on four stages and activities for children.
The festival boasts more than 300 booths featuring arts and crafts and close to 20 wine and craft beer booths. Dozens of local restaurants and food trucks are located within the festival site too.
There is special attention given to local artists, who have their own stretch of booths in what is called Local Artists’ Alley”.
New this year is an area booths where young entrepreneurs between 9 and 16 years old can sell their handiwork or products they have designed and created.
The festival is concentrated along Mt. Diablo Blvd. The main gate is at Mt. Diablo and Oak Hill Rd. Parking is free close to the festival site, and there is also free shuttle service and a free bicycle valet.
Festivals like these are opportunities to use a wide variety of printing services, and brochure printing and business card printing are important advertising tools for vendors and artists.
The 24th Annual Lafayette Art and Wine Festival runs Saturday September 21, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Sunday, September 22, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
