Lafayette’s two-day annual festival celebrating art, wine and music is promising to be even better this year than in previous years, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The festival, held in downtown Lafayette in the BART Station south lot, is an example of the kind of event that a banner printing service excels at promoting. As usual, there is no admittance fee and the event is both family and dog friendly.
Free entertainment will be provided on four stages, and numerous artisans and craftspeople will be on hand providing demonstrations and items for sale. A wide range of food will be available from local restaurants, while breweries and wineries will be on hand to sell their wares.
A new event this year, hosted by the Lafayette Policed Department, will be a motorcycle competition that will include several law enforcement agencies from across North California. Another attraction that will likely garner lots of attention is the World’s Largest Earthquake Simulator, which is capable of recreating a magnitude 8.0 earthquake experience.
Individual drink tickets cost $7 for a wine or beer glass. Ticket for Kids Zone activities will range from $1 to $5. The event takes place this year on September 19 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm and September 20 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm. Proceeds from the event go to local nonprofits, the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, and area schools.
