The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Citizen of the Year dinner this spring.
A nominating committee chooses the citizen of the year from names put forward by the community. The award winner needs to be a resident of Lafayette who has supported the town either financially or with time and effort, and who is not currently in an elected government position.
This year’s winner is John A. Coleman, who has been an active member of the community in Lafayette for decades. He is currently the executive director of the nonprofit Bay Planning Coalition and volunteers as a Boy Scout Eagle Advisor. He has served on many boards over the years. Organizations often use poster printing services to highlight portraits of, or information about, award winners.
The event will begin with a no-host bar from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, before the sit-down dinner begins. Attendees can choose from herb-roasted chicken, black cod with risotto, or spinach and ricotta ravioli. Wine will be served with dinner, and all meals will include a Caesar salad starter and chocolate cake for dessert. Tickets are available on the Chamber website and cost $105 per person.
The 2024 Citizen of the Year award dinner will take place on Thursday, March 28 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lafayette Park Hotel & Spa.
