Lafayette area to welcome summer with outdoor social

This July, cities all over the country will be gathering to celebrate Independence Day, and the Lafayette area will be no exception. Woodlands Park will serve as the venue for a family event that will offer both fun and a chance to relax and connect with other community members.

The fun is scheduled to start at 4:00 pm, and there will be plenty of activities to keep the kids in the crowd busy. Their parents and other adults can mingle or just sit back, relax and watch the excitement on the faces of the younger guests, and a special treat will be served.

Ginger’s Gelato has generously decided to supply a variety of frozen treats for the occasion, and these can be paired with a selection of toppings. The kids can enjoy playing with the bubbles and have their faces painted, and if they have their bike, trike or wheelchair, they can dress it up for the celebration with some of the star-spangled decorations distributed.

Along with the food and other fun, there will be lots of other excitement. A large banner can provide the final touch to such an event, and a local banner printing company will be able to supply one that can be a great fit for the occasion.

This year’s Woodlands Ice Cream Social will fill the park with fun on July 3. RSVPs are requested, and this can be done through the function’s online listing.
