The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program of Contra Costa County is hosting its annual celebration and fundraising gala this fall.
The 43rd Annual Evening of Promise will include dinner, silent and live auctions, and speeches. Voice actor Joy Ofodu will host the event. ABC7 news anchor Dan Ashley, who is a board member of CASA, will receive the Light of Hope Honoree award for his ongoing support and fundraising efforts. Derek Clark will give the keynote address; he spent 13 years in foster care himself and is now a professional motivational speaker who covers childhood trauma and overcoming adversity. His goal is to leave audiences both inspired and motivated to take action.
Tickets are available online now for $225 per person. Proceeds from the event will support the CASA program, which pairs volunteers with foster children to provide one-on-one support. These volunteers advocate for the child’s needs so they aren’t overlooked in a busy legal system. CASAs live across the county, including in Lafayette and many other towns.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Depending on the tier, sponsorship packages include listings on the event website and ads in the event programs. Organizations often work with Stationery printers to design programs for their events.
The Evening of Promise gala will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the San Ramon Marriott.
