Dance DJs/musicians to visit Hollywood

A duo making a mark in EDM (electronic dance music) is set to perform in Hollywood.

Joseph Abella and Joseph Chung, who are known as ARMNHMR, are musicians, record producers, and DJs based in Los Angeles. They have collaborated with artists such as Synymata, Nurko, and Abandoned.

Chung’s interest in EDM stemmed from his childhood, where his house was always filled with music. Abella’s interest was piqued when he attended Electronic Daisy Carnival, an EDM festival in Los Angeles. The two met at California State Polytechnic College, Pomona, and after going to music festivals together, began producing music.

They began their career in Koreatown where they performed smaller gigs and started releasing music, dropping “Fallen,” their first song, in 2015. They continued producing singles until 2020, when they released “The Free World,” their debut album. They toured in support of the album, making 24 stops in Canada and the United States.

They released “Together as One,” their second album, in 2023 and again, toured in support of the effort, performing throughout North America. In 2024, they were offered the gig as resident DJs at the Wynn in Las Vegas, the first Asian American EDM artists to become resident EDM performers on the Strip.

ARMNHMR will be at the Avalon in Hollywood on Friday, December 12. Events like this often benefit from the publicity created by colorful Posters, which organizers will find at Print shops.
