The 18th annual Tartan Day Scottish Faire is taking place in Fremont this April, and is a presentation of the East Bay Scottish Association.
This event promises to showcase everything Scottish, including displays by pipe bands, Highland dancing demonstrations, musical performances, historical reenactments, and a variety of Scottish foods for purchase.
Vendors will be on hand to sell Celtic-inspired arts and crafts and other related merchandise. There will also be Highland athletic exhibitions, a demonstration by the Davenreiche School of European Martial Arts, and a Children's Glen with fairies and dragons. In addition, a number of clan societies will be providing information to the public about their specific clans and signing up new members.
No doubt people of Scottish descent, and those who are interested in the culture from all over the Fremont area, will make their way to the fair. Local printing companies may help advertise it by providing promotional items such as Flyers and Brochures. These can then be distributed in the community.
The Tartan Day Scottish Faire will be held at Ardenwood Historic Farm on April 18 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is $12, $8 for seniors, and $5 for children between the ages of 4 and 17.
