The Hayes Presidential Library & Museums, in partnership with the Ohio History Connection, will host GroveFest this summer at Spiegel Grove Fremont.
The annual gathering offers visitors a family-focused event centered on environmental education, wildlife awareness, and outdoor recreation. It will feature regional conservation groups and educational organizations presenting hands-on activities, games, and craft stations designed to introduce children and families to nature-related topics. Several wildlife organizations are expected to participate, including rehabilitation centers bringing live educational animals for demonstrations and interaction. A petting farm featuring domestic animals will also be available during the event.
Held on the historic estate of former President Rutherford B. Hayes and First Lady Lucy Hayes, the festival aims to celebrate the couple’s appreciation for the natural environment and their connection to the outdoors.
Food options, including ice cream and hot dogs, will be offered to guests. Donations for refreshments can be given but are not mandatory. Organizers stated that accessible transportation assistance will be provided on the grounds through golf cart shuttle service for attendees parking off site.
Admission to GroveFest is free. Additional participating organizations are expected to be announced ahead of the event. Community festivals and educational gatherings such as this often work with Print shops to create and distribute Flyers, signage, and event materials.
GroveFest will take place Saturday, June 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Spiegel Grove, 52 Spiegel Grove, Fremont. Parking for visitors will be provided near ProMedica Memorial Hospital buildings along Third Avenue, within walking distance of the venue.
