Fremont’s Billy Roy’s Burger Co. will host an event in support of independent game developers, offering the public the opportunity to playtest in-development games.
The event is part of a series of gatherings designed to connect people working within the fields of tech, games and animation. It is sponsored by Minimap and Rodo.
Though online registration is required for RSVPing, there is a free tier where members of public can get a flavor of the local game development scene, meet the creators and playtest games.
For $15, intended for game devs, ticketholders get a personalized recommendation, a shoutout in the Rodo post-event recap and priority access to future panels and collaboration. The top $50 tier, also for game devs, includes a 30-minute one-on-one consultation, post-event follow-up, an introduction to someone in the gaming development network and everything that was in the $15 tier. The top tier is intended for game developers ready to take their product to the next stage.
The event will have a casual atmosphere at a local burger joint, aimed at generating feedback and connecting with others working in the game development field.
Gaming development events like this may choose to use brochure printing for listing available showcase games and event programming for participants.
The Indie Game Dev Playtesting Event is happening on September 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Billy Roy’s Burger Co. in Fremont.
