The City of Fremont is hosting Downtown Dog Days this October and will offer recreational activities and resources for dogs and their owners alike.
Affordable dog vaccinations, adoptions, dog training demonstrations and other activities are planned for the family-friendly event. In addition, there are amenities offered for pet owners, as well, including food trucks, live music, dog-themed crafts and local vendors.
A live Paint Your Pet class will be held as part of the festivities at the Downtown Event Center and Plaza, featuring pet owners being taught how to paint custom portraits with an instructor laying out the process each step of the way.
Vendors include people offering pet merchandise, such Spot n Knot, who sell leashes, pet bandanas and slow feeders. The Knotty Corgi offers Apparel for dog moms, dog toys and treats. Meanwhile, Silicon Valley Microgreens sells free-dried microgreens packed with nutrients, suitable for both pet and human consumption, among dozens of other vendors.
There’s also complimentary face painting, a pet-friendly magic show with David Martinez and the musical stylings of Derek Smith and his steel drum tunes.
