Power-thermal firm Delta opens U.S. HQ in Fremont

Delta Electronics, Inc, a top energy management company based in Taiwan, has opened up its American offices in Fremont. The specially-designed green building was inaugurated Oct. 25, with Fremont Mayor Bill Harrison among the 400 people in attendance at the ceremony.

Delta Americas, as the U.S. branch of the company is known, serves several major industries, ranging from IT to communications to industrial automation. Products run from power electronics to DC brushless fans to renewable energy products.

In line with the company's role as an energy innovator, the new 180,000-square-foot headquarters has been designed to meet LEED Platinum requirements and net zero standards. The building also features a geothermal heating and cooling system. More than 20% of the building's materials were reclaimed. The office is among the 20-some buildings that Delta has constructed or renovated over the past years to optimize energy efficiency.

Delta chose Fremont in part because of California's reputation for green initiatives. The mayor said that he hopes Delta's presence will help make Fremont a model for green energy applications that the rest of the world can turn to as an example.

Delta's new office will call for a variety of printing and marketing services to promote green initiatives. These services may include brochure printing, booklet printing, business card printing, Stationery printing, newsletter printing, and more.
