Local festival offers beer tasting
The Fremont Burger & Brew Fest is returning for the eighth year.
The festival will showcase a sampling of products from various bay area distilleries, breweries, and vendors. Live entertainment will be presented, including the Burger Throwdown, a competition focused on cooking burgers. Poster printing is a common feature at festivals.
Attending the Burger & Brew Fest does not require any admission fee. Those who are not interested in beer or spirits can still enjoy the event by walking around the food trucks, buying a couple of burgers, and exploring the different items on sale from vendors.
The organizers are providing two types of tickets for tasters. A single beer-only ticket is $45. The package includes a four-ounce tasting glass and a wristband, which is required for every beer pour. Unlimited beer pours are available, but spirit pours are not included in the ticket price. This ticket does not include food. Note that the price will increase to $50 if purchased at the gate.
A single beer ticket that comes with additional spirits is $55. This package allows guests to savor locally distilled spirits and local beer. The ticket comes with receive a wristband for beer tasting, a four-ounce tasting glass, and a special wristband that enables the holder to try both beer and spirits. While unlimited beer pours are permitted, spirit tastings are limited to two tastings per distillery.
The Fremont Burger & Brew Fest is happening on May 20. It starts at 11:00 am and ends at 5:00 pm.
