Holiday show benefits art education in Fremont

The 32nd annual Holiday for the Arts Show and Sale, presented by the Olive Hyde Art Guild, will take place for two days this December in Fremont. Proceeds will go to the Guild to support arts education in the city.

On the evening prior to the show, a gala reception will give guests a chance to get the first view of the show and purchase items. It will include hors d'oeuvres, wine, and a drawing for a stained glass mosaic created by Barbara Schlein.

The show itself will feature handcrafted and fine art pieces from local artists, offering a chance for visitors to pick up unique gifts for the holidays. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Classical Guitar Ensemble on the first day and Flute Fantasia on the last.

Organizers will be sending out Postcards and displaying Banners throughout Fremont to advertise this annual event, many of which will no doubt be obtained from local printing companies.

The Holiday for the Arts Show and Sale is being held at the Olive Hyde Art Gallery from December 6 to 7 from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm each day, and is free to attend. The gala is taking place on December 5 from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Tickets are $12.50 in advance for members and $15 for non-members or on the day of the event. Call 510-793-5067 for more information about both events.
