The next State of the City update will take place at Fremont Town Hall next week.
This time around, the Chamber of Commerce has been forced to hold the event online. Such public announcements usually occur physically at the Town Hall. However, attendees will join the meeting via Zoom and Facebook live streaming.
The upcoming Virtual State of the City Address is expected to highlight several issues affecting the city. Mayor Lily Mei is scheduled to speak on the town's progress in tackling COVID-19, among other issues of importance to the city’s residents.
Interested parties can sign up as team sponsors, event sponsors, or presenting sponsor. All sponsors will get links to share with their employees. Local banner printing companies may be sought, since the presenting and event sponsors will get a banner ad and large side ad in the city's business brief, respectively.
Registration for the event is ongoing. Council members can register for $25 while non-members are required to pay $45. The first 10 registrants will receive such swag as gift cards from the City of Fremont. Named ‘Gift Fremont’, these cards are designed to provide relief to business affected by the pandemic. For further information about this, please phone Cindy at (510) 795-2244.
The virtual meeting will take place on October 5, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, PDT.
