Local business people in Fremont are preparing their custom Business Cards and practicing their handshakes for the Fremont Area Makers Night.
The event features a discussion with local companies and a mixer to help encourage local businesses to meet, network, and grow.
The panel discussion will feature a number of local ‘makers’, meaning businesses that create products like industrial fabricators, artisan producers, and small manufacturers. This is a niche market that has recently seen an explosion of activity in the Fremont area, and the panel will focus on questions such as how the companies got their start, why they chose this area in particular, and the types of challenges they had to overcome to be successful. The discussion is expected to last for about two hours, and will include a question-and-answer session.
After the panel has finished, a small mixer will be held. This is a strong opportunity for local business owners, particularly those that either are makers themselves or might consume the products produced by these businesses, to form new contacts from around the community. The mixer will last for approximately 45 minutes and will include some light refreshments.
