Recreational Equipment Inc. (REI) has scheduled an instructional bike riding event for kids to take place in Fremont this March.
REI is a corporation that has been selling outdoor and sports gear since 1983. With locations across the country, REI also offers outdoor programs and classes such as the children’s bike riding class.
This event is designed for children between ages 5 and 11 who are learning to ride their bikes without training wheels. Students will learn essential biking skills including how to start, brake, steer, balance, and overcome fears of falling through a mixture of group and one-on-one instruction.
Registration fees are $89 for non-members and $65 for REI members. All children who attend the Fremont workshop must bring gear including their own bikes that do not have training wheels, shoes with closed toes, water, snacks, facemasks, and clothing appropriate for the day’s outdoor weather. An adult must accompany each child throughout the entire class to monitor them and offer encouragement. Each child’s parent or guardian must Print out and sign the workshop liability agreement in order to participate. To create physical Copies of Forms, participants of similar events often visit nearby Print shops to produce high-quality printouts.
This children’s bike riding class is set to occur on Sunday, March 7 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at REI Fremont.
