Fremont residents invited to enjoy the sounds of the holidays
A call is going out to help fill the auditorium for a special Christmas concert put on by area children.
Fremont elementary students are taking part in a program sponsored by the organization Music for Minors II. This nonprofit helps to ensure music education remains in school districts by leading classroom lessons for children in pre-school and elementary level classes. Music education has proven to be a valuable teaching tool that helps children to learn to express themselves, builds confidence, and provides a fun outlet for their energy. Local businesses are encouraged to help support music programs like this by contributing directly to the organization, sponsoring a school, or holding fundraisers. The Music for Minors II Kids Choir is a group of local schoolchildren taking part in the classroom lessons, and the children in the choir have chosen to use their time and effort to help spread the joy of music to their community.
