Fremont prepares green end to April

Fremont is celebrating its annual ‘Let's Go Green Together’ Earth Day Celebration later this month. This will be the 45th anniversary of the Earth Day observation in the United States.

There will be lots of information about various conservation programs, including recycling, saving energy, health eating, and composting. Visitors can drop off items like expired medications, used needles, and eyeglasses. They can also bring in documents to be shredded and exchange mercury-based thermometers for digital ones.

Food trucks will be on hand to sell a variety of foods and the Farmers' Market will feature locally grown produce.

For the kids, a bike rodeo will be offered for those between 8 and 13, while face painting and art projects will amuse others. With cycling a key part of the green ethos, younger guests can also take a chance at winning a bike, or have their bike tuned up free of charge. There will even be a demonstration of how a bicycle can be used to blend a smoothie.

To spread information about this event, Fremont printing companies may be asked to provide Signs, Posters and Flyers. Since Print companies follow sustainable guidelines, these items are also environmentally friendly.

‘Let's Go Green Together’ will be held at the Conrad E. Anderson M. D. Auditorium at Washington Hospital on April 25 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. To find out the latest information about this event, call 510-797-1111.
