St. Patrick’s Day often stands out on Calendars as a day for adult-themed revelry, but the city of Fremont is aiming to bring children a touch of Irish charm with the Leprechaun Land for Wee Folk, featuring games, crafts, and food.
The children-themed celebration centers on a life-sized board game. Little ones will take turns with a spinner that will guide them through a magical fairyland. Along the way, they will have an opportunity to win treats, engage in some friendly competition, and even meet some of the Wee Folk themselves. A ticket allows a child and one adult to accompany them, so children as young as two are encouraged to attend.
The event will also be filled with Leprechaun-themed arts and crafts, shamrock snacks, and St. Patty’s prizes. A free goodie bag will also be given to every child aged two to ten. The events should take about an hour and half in total for children of any age, and entry is staggered so that everyone will get a full chance to participate.
The Leprechaun Land for Wee Folk will take place on March 18, beginning at 5:00 pm at the City of Fremont Teen Center located at 39770 Paseo Padre Pkwy. Tickets cost $10 per child with one adult, and $2 for every extra adult, and should be purchased in advance. Anyone interested in attending should visit the website for more info.
