What's Happening in Fremont, CA…

Fremont honors local law enforcement

Everyone is invited to take part in the 55th annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day (LEAD) event.

Join with members of the community, local police forces and others who will spend the day in support of law enforcement. The luncheon will include speakers, a memorial, and an award ceremony. Many vendors will be onsite for the day and there will be plenty of opportunity for networking and mingling.

The Chief of Police from San Bernardino, Chief Jarrod Burguan, will be the keynote speaker at the event. The chief has been with his department since 1992 and in his current position since December of 2013. He will discuss the terrorist events of December 2, 2015 that took place in his hometown and the effective response of his staff under his leadership.

The SF Bay Area ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) Chapter is sponsoring the event, but additional corporate sponsors and vendors are still needed. Anyone interested in a sponsorship, or who would like to bring relevant promotional products or provide corporate gifts for the event, can check out the Eventbrite website for more information.

The event is scheduled for this Thursday, March 15, from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm at the Fremont Marriot Silicon Valley located at 46100 Landing Parkway in Fremont. All active law enforcement officers and their families receive free admission. General admission is $70 per ticket and $60 for ASIS members. Sponsorship and vendor rates vary from $60 to $2,000.
