The 3rd annual WorldWideWomen Girls’ Festival seeks to inspire girls to expand their horizons and live out their dreams.
Thousands of girls turned out for the festivals held in 2016 and 2017, and the organizers hope this year will be even more popular. To encourage attendance, the organization has lined up a day full of exciting and fun activities. Attendees can participate in hands-on workshops that let them build and create. They will also learn about careers in diverse industries like fashion and computer coding.
All attendees will have the chance to make connections, meet a mentor, and learn about new challenges and opportunities. Even the most determined individuals, that have their futures planned and Business Cards printed, will find something that appeals to them.
The WorldWideWomen Foundation is a for-profit group that encourages the involvement of women in the business world. The global effort helps to connect like-minded women, and festivals like this help to expose girls to careers and opportunities they may have otherwise missed.
To enable more people to attend, the organization has set up a GoFundMe page to bring 500 girls from underserved communities to the festival. Information about the fundraiser is available on the website.
The festival runs from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on October 6. The admission fee is $20 for adults, $15 for ages 7 – 17, and free for anyone under 17. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10%. Tickets can be purchased at the WorldWideWomen website. The event will be at Santa Clara University, located at 500 El Camino in Santa Clara.
