Children in the Fremont area have their heads in the clouds in anticipation of the Kids 'n' Kites Festival. The event promises free kites, activities, and entertainment for the whole family.
Over 4,000 kites have been purchased by the city with a special look and Logo Design made for the fest. These will be distributed at no cost to the children at the event. Families can also feel free to bring their own kites from home, as well as balls and other items suitable for the park.
In addition to the thousands of kites soaring through the air, the festival will have bounce houses, a game area, and a Kids Fun Zone with a variety of activities for children to participate in. A stage will also be set up that will feature live music and other entertainment. The Parks and Recreation Department will also be hosting interactive booths where families can find out more about the many summer activities available in Fremont.
The event will also offer a sneak peak at Aqua Adventure Park. According to the Flyers, visitors will be able to buy discounted tickets to the water park for $6, weather permitting.
The Kids 'n' Kites Festival will be held on May 20 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Central Park, located between Lake Elizabeth and Aqua Adventure Park. Admission is free to the public. Anyone interested in more information should check the Flyers or visit the website.
