Fremont children invited to enjoy new Halloween event

Parents and kids can visit downtown Freemont this October to take part in an evening of trick or treating.

Freemont Street Eats and Food Truck Mafia, sponsors of food truck festivals across the city, have teamed up with other area sponsors to host the Trick or Treat on Downtown Safety Street event. The evening will include plenty of food, candy, and activities and all local families with children between the ages of 2 and 10 are invited to attend.

During the hours of 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm on Friday, October 20, Freemont's downtown area from Capital Avenue to Liberty Street will be closed off for the carnival. Guests are asked to dress in their Halloween costumes as they gather candy, enjoy the food and music, and listen to story time. There will be carnival rides, food trucks will be on site, and a costume contest is planned for 7:00 pm.

During the Halloween season, businesses often like to enclose Brochures filled with coupons in with any seasonal goody Bags to encourage visits after the holiday.

Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the Trick or Treat on Downtown Safety Street event. There is an admission fee of $10 per child, but there is no charge for adults accompanying children. All tickets must be purchased in advance from the recreation department online or in person at 3300 Capitol Avenue in building B.
