Fremont business women get boost
Entrepreneurs in the Fremont area are printing out their custom business cards and practicing their handshakes in anticipation of the Women in Business panel discussion. The afternoon event is aimed at female business owners and anyone else looking to find success in the Bay Area.
The four women that make up the panel are among the most accomplished business owners in the state. Emily Liggett is CEO of NovaTorque, Jody Tatro is CEO of ProExhibits, June Riley is CEO of VC Taskforce, and Shilpi Sharma is CEO of Kvantum. Together, they represent a broad range of varied business experience, meaning they are capable of providing insights for almost any interested entrepreneur.
The event will begin with an hour-and-a-half presentation by the four panelists, where they will discuss a number of topics regarding laying the groundwork, starting up, and running a successful business in the Bay Area. Afterwards, there will be a Q and A session where participants can bring their own talking points to the fore. Finally, visitors will be able to hang out and network with each other after the panel is over.
The Women in Business Panel Discussion will be held on March 20 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Fremont Library, located at 2450 Stevenson St. Admission is free and more info can be found on the website.
