The Castro Valley Library, a few miles from Fremont, will be hosting a climate change discussion next week. The event will be hosted by environmental scientist Andrew Gunther.
Dr. Gunter holds a PhD in Energy Resources from UC Berkeley. He has a long history of facilitating projects, assembling expert teams, and assisting various corporations in finding solutions to environmental problems.
On top of this, his resumé includes being the founder of the Center for Ecosystem Management and Restoration. He is also the creator of the State of the Bay report.
He currently serves two roles – one is as a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Concerned Scientists. Another is as a member of the San Francisco Bay Regional Quality Board.
As far as presentations, Dr. Gunther has made over 100 of them in the last several years to a range of organizations, including neighborhood groups, colleges, and businesses.
He is expected to give a presentation that is nonpartisan and non-political, relying only on honesty about the present and the future of the climate. A slideshow with different graphic design features is often part of talks like this.
The event will take place from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM next Monday, February 7. The Castro Valley Library is located at 3600 Norbridge Ave. More information can be found on the library site.
