City of Fremont hosts candy cane hunt

The Fremont Recreation Services have planned a candy cane hunt to take place at Central Park Meadow this month, geared towards kids ages two to ten.

There are three separate times through the day for the hunts. Two of the event times still have tickets available, but they will sell out fast.

The event will include vendor booths offering sale and promotional items. There will also be holiday treats and plenty of fun activities for all children. The organizers will hide thousands of candy canes for the children to find and some will include special marks that entitle the holder to a surprise. In addition to the hunt and the other activities, Santa will be at the event for the children to meet.

All children must have an adult with them to attend the event. The tickets are $5 for each child. There is no admission fee for the accompanying adults.

The times for which tickets may still be available are from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm, and from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. All events will take place this Saturday, December 8, at Central Park Meadow near the Teen Center at 39700 Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont. Visit the recreation department website for tickets or to go on the waitlist for the morning hunt in the event of a cancellation.
