Childbirth seminar teaches new techniques

The Spinning Babies Workshop is giving professionals involved in childbirth a chance to sharpen their skills and learn new things.

After attending this workshop, people will learn how to:

- Make childbirth easier while making pregnancy more comfortable,
- Improve the fetus’s position without directly manipulating it,
- Use gentle actions to make labor shorter and avoid having to do a cesarean,
- Identify potential issues earlier.
- Fix labor dystocia and malposition with little to no force.

The techniques taught by Spinning Babies provide the world’s only system for preparing for birth and easing labor by manipulating the baby’s position. The physiological techniques taught here change the effective size of the mother’s pelvis by tapping into the body’s innate ability to resolve labor dystocia. Print shops could be used to source themed decorations for events like this one.

Spinning Babies is designed for all types of professionals who help others with birth and pregnancy. This includes nurses, midwives, doctors, childbirth educators, and doulas.

The event will be hosted by Yvonne Dobbenga-Rhodes and attendees will be trained by Nikki Zerfas who is a nurse with plenty of experience in labor and delivery. She has worked in Europe as well as the United States and is particularly interested in assisting births in complex situations.

The Spinning Babies Workshop is scheduled for 8:30 am to 5:30 am on October 5th at the Washington Hospital Healthcare System in Fremont.
