Casino-themed event to help youngsters careers
Adolescents in the Fremont area are putting on their finest outfits for the Second Annual All in White Casino Night.
The evening event provides games, prizes, and entertainment, all while providing educational opportunities for teenagers to learn more about career and job choices.
The name of the night is more than just a decorative theme. Attendees are asked to come in white or neutral colors. This will create a uniform look to the proceedings that is simple and elegant. The evening will feature many of the traditional casino games including blackjack, poker, and roulette, and ‘winnings’ from these games can then be used to buy prizes.
The event is being put together by GT20, a nonprofit in the area that provides free resources tools for teenagers to find a career that is the best fit for them, meaning an educational component is included. Visitors will hear testimonials by teens and young adults helped by GT20 programs in the past, as well as discovering more about the types of aid the group can offer young people who still have not decided what they want to do after high school. A percentage of the proceeds will go to fund promotional products like GT20’s Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship series of videos.
All in White Casino Night will be held on September 8 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm at Magnussen Lexus, located at 5600 Cushing Pkwy. The cost for tickets is $50 a person. Anyone interested in buying tickets or more info should visit the website.
