Break out your kites for local Fremont festival

The Recreation Services Division of the City of Fremont brings back the annual one-day-only Kids ā€˜n’ Kites Festival.

There is still time for residents to practice their kite flying skills to show off to the others in attendance on the big day. An annual festival is a popular event that includes much more than kites.
The main stage will spotlight live entertainment, summer activities will be taking place at a variety of booths and a fun play area is planned for all children to enjoy. Food vendors and much more will be at the park as well during the duration of the festival.

Anyone that wants to join in on the action is welcome to this free event. The day is sponsored by Fremont Bank, Washington Township Medical Foundation, and Unitek. Local business owners should remember that kites are a simple and affordable promotional product and are an easy way to contribute to the festival. Over 3,000 kites have already been donated to the festival organizers for the big day.

The event will take place next to the Aqua Adventure Waterpark inside Central Park, located at 40500 Paseo Padre Parkway in Fremont. It will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 19th. A sneak peek of the waterpark begins at 2:00 pm, for those interested in trying out the park before it opens officially. Tickets to the waterpark are $7 each.
