The Milpitas International BBQ Festival is taking place this May for two days, made possible by the Milpitas Chamber of Commerce.
The festival will offer something for everyone, no matter what their age. The main event will be the barbecue contest, which will pit local chefs against one another. There will be entertainment on two stages with acts such as Savannah Blu, Whiskey Pass, Jessica Leia, and Third Sol. In addition, more than 50 artisans will be selling arts and crafts, and local businesses will be showcased on Business Row.
Guests can purchase barbecued food and taste domestic wines. The KRTY Truck and Wheel will also be giving out a generous supply of prizes.
A Car and Motorcycle Show is planned for the first day of the festival. ‘Best in Show’ will receive a trophy and $200.
Many of the vendors, some of whom may come from nearby areas like Fremont, will probably decide to invest in such services as sign and banner printing to bring more attention to their booths. A colorful sign may attract more visitors and result in an increase in sales.
The Milpitas International BBQ Festival will be held on S. Milpitas Blvd. between Los Coches and Turquoise Streets from May 30 to 31 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm each day. Admission is free. To find out more about this event, call 408-262-2613.
