Comedian with unique outlook takes stage in Covina
The Laugh Factory in Covina will soon welcome comedian Jack Assadourian.
Better known as Jack Jr., the comedian has appeared on streaming TV specials, including Netflix is a Joke and Amazon Prime Video Laugh After Dark. Assadourian also hosts a podcast, Comedy Club Confessions.
Assadourian’s Armenian and Mexican descent often serves as material for his jokes, but also as the framing for his unique perspective as a comedian. Assadourian muses on life’s observations with wit and fast-paced storytelling.
Originally from Glendale, Assadourian grew up working at the HaHa comedy club in North Hollywood, owned by his parents. His most recent comedy special, the biggest of his career, filmed at the Alex Theatre in his hometown earlier this year, touches upon his experiences seeing the underbelly of the comedy scene as a child.
With 16 years of stand-up comedy under his belt, Assadourian likens his career in entertainment to post-secondary education. Scrubbing the floors and cleaning the dishes at his parents’ comedy club was his figurative grade school experience, and the new special: his graduation.
Now Assadourian is on somewhat of a victory lap, touching down on Covina to bring his irreverent humor to comedy fans.
Stand-up comedy events like this may choose to use graphic design services for web and in-print promotional material.
Jack Assadourian is performing on September 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Laugh Factory in Covina at 104 N Circus Ave.
