Trio of comedians comes to Covina

The Laugh Factory in Covina is bringing a trio of stand-up comedians to the stage this May.

Billed as “Sunday Night Raw,” the event will feature the likes of Phil Medina, Cory Baumgartner, and Blake Bartee.

Medina hails from Madera, California, rising up through the ranks of the comedy world beginning as a humble class clown during his school years. Though he did not have any aspirations to take his act to the stage, that all changed in 2009 when he was invited to be the MC for a local comedy show. He was soon making the rounds at LA comedy clubs, including the Hollywood Improv and the Ice House. His mark on the comedy world has only grown since, making recent TV appearances on Hulu.

Baumgartner’s upbringing involved moving around a lot as a child with his biker father and letter deliverer mother. Being the new kid so frequently allowed him to flex his comedy muscles in order to gain friendships quickly. He also has an identical twin, with the duo forming the comedy group The Smash Brothers.

Comedy shows like this may choose to use flyer printing to showcase the talent headlining certain events.

The three comedians will perform on Sunday, May 3 at 7:00 pm at the Covina Laugh Factory at 104 N Citrus Ave in Covina.
