The Connect in Covina event is designed for participants to make substantial connections with others as part of the larger business community in Covina. As such, those who do choose to attend are encouraged to prepare their ideas and work with other fellow professionals in a casual atmosphere.
The event is being put on by the Covina Chamber of Commerce, a coalition of business owners aiming to uplift the community and foster successful collaborations. With the support of paying members, fundraising, and fees for programs, the Chamber runs the events for the business community.
Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, the Covina Chamber has served businesses ranging from orange grove farmers to modern business enterprises for more than 100 years. The aim is to ensure a high quality of life for all by bolstering the local economy and government. It is thanks to a contest held in 1920 by the Chamber that Covina adopted the city slogan:
“One mile square and all there.”
People attending networking events like this may choose to use business card printing for making professional connections.
The Connect in Covina: Where Businesses Lunch, Learn and Link Up Event is happening on August 19 starting at noon at the AZO Vino Wino Bar at 678 S Citrus Ave. in Covina. Tickets are available online or at the door.
