WPA California State Championships set for Carson
The World Pickleball Association (WPA) California State Championships will take place in Carson from November through December.
During the championship, players are guaranteed four matches, with no limit on the number of matches they can enter. With a round-robin format, each doubles match will host a maximum of eight pairs, ensuring all matches are completed within a three-hour window, followed by an hour for top teams to compete for medals.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early and warm up. The organizers recommend viewing injury-prevention tips available on the Aussie John Pickleball YouTube channel. The championship will use Franklin balls along with both permanent and portable nets.
Registration is open through October 31st, with an entry fee of $20. Parking at the venue is free.
The event offers a comprehensive refund policy for players unable to attend as a result of injury or illness. In the case of rain, events will be postponed for the next two weekends, with players given the option to receive a credit or refund if they are unable to participate on the new dates.
