The Royal Crown Belly Dance Competition will return in February for its third edition in Carson.
Produced by Roxana and Viridiana in partnership with LM International Dance Competition, the event has grown into a regional gathering point for dancers seeking both recognition and creative exchange.
Organizers describe the competition as a platform that values technique, expression, and cultural respect. Dancers from multiple experience levels are invited to test their skills across a wide range of categories, including rising star, folklore, fusion, drum solo, professional, and group performances. The contest format emphasizes fairness and structure, with clear time limits, formal judging, and category-based awards.
The 2026 edition will also feature internationally recognized guest artists Kareem Gad, Melissa Gamal, Najla Ferreira, and Igor Kischka, who will participate in workshops and headline performances throughout the weekend.
Spectators are welcome to attend individual portions of the weekend. Admission pricing is set at $25 for competition-only viewing on the Sunday, $35 for the evening gala performance, or $45 for an all-day pass covering both events.
Organizers often rely on poster printing to promote large-scale cultural gatherings like this.
The competition takes place from Friday, February 20 to Sunday, February 22 at the Carson Event Center, 801 Carson St. Competition events are scheduled for Sunday, February 22 from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, followed by the gala show from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
