The International Printing Museum will host a hands-on holiday card workshop in Carson this December.
The workshop will give adults an opportunity to design and Print their own two-color cards using Risograph equipment.
Led by Jun Ha and Dave Bow of RISO Studio Arts, the four-hour workshop will introduce participants to an analog Risograph process that uses black-and-white artwork scanned directly into the machine. Guests will spend the first portion of the class creating card designs with art supplies and collage materials before moving into the printing stage.
Participants may bring family photographs, pet pictures, or images from favorite 2026 trips and memories to incorporate into their designs. Final artwork must fit within the provided A6 card format, which measures approximately 10.5 by 14.8 centimeters.
Each attendee will be able to produce about 15 custom Holiday Cards. A6 templates, Envelopes, printing materials, and refreshments are included with registration. The workshop is open to both beginners and people who already have experience with Risograph printing.
Admission costs $71.21 including $6.20 in fees. Participants must be age 18 or older. Refunds are available until two weeks before the workshop.
Organizers of creative workshops often use Stationery printers to create instructional materials and advertisements.
The DIY RISO Holiday Cards event is scheduled for Sunday, December 13 from noon to 4:00 pm at the International Printing Museum, 315 West Torrance Blvd, Carson.
