The International Printing Museum in Carson is preparing to host a full-day educational program designed to help scouts complete two merit badges through practical instruction and interactive demonstrations.
The annual event will focus on graphic arts and paper production, offering participants direct exposure to traditional and modern printing methods.
Organizers said attendees will rotate through 10 learning stations covering multiple areas of the printing and paper industries. Activities are expected to include offset press operation, screen printing, paper-making techniques, digital layout concepts, and demonstrations tied to forestry management within the paper supply chain.
Participants will also create several hands-on projects during the day, including printed cards, handmade paper sheets, and custom T-Shirts. Museum staff and industry professionals are scheduled to lead the workshops and presentations throughout the program.
The event is limited to registered scouts. According to organizers, the program is structured to allow scouts to complete the requirements for both the Graphic Arts and Pulp & Paper merit badges during the single-day session.
Admission is priced at $71.21 per participant, including a $65 registration fee and $6.21 in additional fees. Food, snacks, and event T-Shirts will be available for separate purchase on-site.

The program is scheduled for Saturday, August 8th, from 9 am to 3 pm at the International Printing Museum, 315 West Torrance Blvd, Carson, California.
