This November, the International Printing Museum will host a full-day educational event for Boy Scouts, offering the chance to get Graphic Arts and Pulp and Paper merit badges.
The program will provide hands-on learning through interactive stations designed to cover the full spectrum of printing and paper production.
During the six-hour session, scouts will rotate through ten activity stations, gaining experience with offset lithography, screen printing, digital design, and sustainable paper management. Participants will have the opportunity to screen Print a custom shirt, operate an antique offset press, create paper from pulp, and produce a letterpress card. Industry professionals and museum educators guide each station, ensuring scouts meet the merit badge requirements.
Registration is required in advance, as space is limited and the program is not available to the public. The cost is $65 per participant, which includes access to all activity stations. Additional items such as lunch, shirts, and snacks are available for purchase on-site.

Print shops may be used to provide educational materials for the Boy Scouts at events such as this one.
