Runway 4 Peace, Inc., is teaming up with Nike and Shoe Palace to host a Back-to-School Fashion Show. The show will feature a runway and will be held outdoors at the Carson Civic Center.
Runway 4 Peace is an organization dedicated to boosting the confidence of at-risk young people in the community. It inspires the children to:
“Walk towards a safer tomorrow.”
It works by developing programs that are fun and raise self-esteem, using fashion to do so. The children in the show will be strutting down the runway like professional models and enjoy the day at the same time. Using fashion helps create a sense of community, and shows children there are avenues open to their success later in life. Brochure printing could be used to provide colorful programs for events like this.
Although the event is free, organizers would like people to RSVP so they can get an idea of how many people plan to attend. However, simply replying does not guarantee a seat, as seating is on a ‘first come, first served” basis.
The Back-to-School Fashion Show is set for this Saturday, August 7, from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm, with doors opening at 12:00 pm. There are no VIP seats, and there will be no vendors on site. No additional sponsors will be asked to participate.
